One of the most rewarding aspects of building a business is seeing the people who helped shape it grow into the next chapters of their own journeys.
In conversations about entrepreneurship, leadership, and business growth, we often focus on milestones, clients, revenue, expansion, and outcomes.
But if you have built a people-led organisation, you know that some of the most meaningful measures of success are far less tangible.
It is the people who grow with you.
The relationships that remain long after someone has moved on.
The trust built through years of working together.
And the messages that arrive unexpectedly, reminding you just how much shared experiences matter.
Receiving this testimonial from Ashima meant a great deal to me.
Not simply because of the kind words, but because it reflects something I have always cared deeply about as a founder and leader: creating a workplace where people feel trusted, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
At Everything Expats, while our external work centres around corporate relocation, expatriate support, global mobility services, and helping international professionals transition smoothly across borders, our internal culture has always mattered just as much.
Because organisations are ultimately built by people.
And leadership is not only about delivering outcomes for clients.
It is about creating an environment where team members can discover strengths they may not have realised they had.
As shared by Ashima Bhaidani, who was part of Everything Expats from April 2017 to March 2024:
“I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Loveena Leonardo for the opportunity to work with Everything Expats. During my tenure, I was given the chance to explore my skills. I greatly appreciate the exposure and experience I gained.
The organization provided a supportive and dynamic environment that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and the opportunities I received to contribute to the team's success.
Loveena Aggarwal Leonardo, GMS, MIM - Thank you for being an exceptional leader and for creating a workplace culture that fosters growth and development. I am proud to have been a part of the team and wish the organization continued success in the future.”

What stands out to me most is the mention of trust.
Because trust is one of the most defining elements of strong leadership.
Skills can be taught.
Processes can be built.
Experience grows with time.
But trust is what allows people to step into unfamiliar responsibilities, take ownership, build confidence, and evolve professionally.
As founders, especially in service businesses, it is easy to become consumed by delivery, operations, client needs, and growth priorities.
But the people building that journey with you are the foundation of everything.
Creating a workplace culture that supports personal and professional growth is not separate from business success.
It is part of it.
At Everything Expats, our work in global mobility and international relocation depends on empathy, problem-solving, adaptability, operational excellence, and human understanding.
Those values are only possible when the internal team feels equally supported.
To Ashima, thank you for your kind words, your contribution, and the years you spent helping shape Everything Expats.
Watching former team members grow, build new lives, and thrive in different parts of the world is one of the most fulfilling parts of leadership.
And yes, if I am being completely honest, I miss you too.
Because some colleagues become far more than colleagues.
They become part of the story.
